The recycling center hours are 10am to 1pm, weather permitting! In inclement weather, the recycling center will be closed. Where indicated with asterisk (*), recycling closed due to inclement weather will be rescheduled for the next Saturday. |

Recyclers are reminded to remove lids from #1 and #2 plastics, rinse and flatten bottles. Newspapers should be put in brown bags or tied with string. all cans and plastics must be rinsed .
Due to increased costs to recycle cardboard , the Recycling Committee will be discontinuing this service as of July 15, 2009 .
Cardboard can be cut or folded and /or bundled and tied and placed out with refuse on Tuesdays. Large Cardboard boxes from appliances, etc. will be accepted for storage of recyclables .

| Clean Up Days: |
August 7, 2010 - Bring items to the Recycling Center between 9:30am and 1:30pm. Please do not bring items from other areas since this is a cost to Nuangola Taxpayers. Proof of Residency must be shown before entrance thru gate.
Note: The following will not be taken: ashes, trees, stumps, logs, any type of construction wood or materials such as plywood, painted wood, railroad ties, commercial contractor waste, roofing material, asbestos, etc.; No combustible items, firearms, batteries, oil, antifreeze, or any type of hazardous material; No items with protruding nails,
tires, electronics such as television sets, microwaves, personal computers, etc.; No refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, no Freon products, and no propane tanks. Note: ALL FLUIDS MUST REMOVED from all items such as mowers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, etc.

| Refuse Bills: |
Refuse bills will be mailed in February 2010 and will include a newsletter. Please read and keep this newsletter in a place for reference. Refuse Abatement requests due by May 31st, 2010. You need an official form and photos of request. |

| Refuse Collection: |
Refuse collection will be every Tuesday except the weeks of Memorial Day and Labor Day during which refuse pick up will be Wednesday. |

Refuse collection is limited to 2 containers of refuse per week. Maximum container size is 32 gallons. Refuse must be in containers or garbage bags, not boxes or paper bags. Hauler will not take any building items, rugs, electronics, etc. Arrangements may be made for bulk items pick up at an additional fee. For additional pick-up and any questions or problems with your regular refuse pick-up, contact Gitten's at (570) 868-6462 |

Stickers are available for additional bags at a cost of $1.75 each. These may be purchased at the Gittens Disposal Service office, located at 7147 Blue Ridge Trail, Mountain Top, PA 18707; or you may order stickers by mail by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope and payment to: Gittens Disposal Service, PO Box 133, Mountain Top PA 18707. Make payment to "Gittens Disposal Service" and include the words "Nuangola Borough" in the memo section of your payment. |

| Wastewater Management: |
Reminder: Pumping of septic tanks for those who pumped in 2007 are to be pumped by October 30, 2010; Remember to obtain a copy of your report from the pumper for your records. Any requests for exemption (official form and photos) must be submitted prior to October 31st, 2010. |
